What is a serviced accommodation?

Serviced accommodation offers more than just a room. Serviced apartments have separate areas for sleeping, cooking, dining and living – with utilities that enable more freedom and comfort, offering a better home from home experience.

What are benefits of a serviced apartment compared to traditional hotels?

  • A serviced apartment typically has more square meters than a traditional hotel room.
  • A serviced apartment is considerably cheaper than a hotel room, especially when you rent it for a longer period of time. You save money on the actual cost of the apartment compared to a hotel room, but also having fully equipped kitchen, you can cook for yourself and not to have to eat out every meal.
  • A serviced apartment gives more a home from home experience, with utilities and furnishings that enable more freedom and comfort.

What are your serviced apartments like?

Our serviced accommodation is ideal solution for short and long-term stays, families travelling with kids, tourist, corporate client as well as contractors working on a project. Most of our serviced apartmets are 3 and 4 bedroom houses, each fitted with stylish and modern amenities, located in Doncaster and Nottingham. Each comes with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms with complimentary welcome bathroom toiletries, and weekly housekeeping (including change of linen and towels and full clean) included in the price. Our apartments come with free Wi-Fi as standard, flat screen TVs with Freeview and Netflix, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, washer facilities and local information & welcome pack.

Will I receive a confirmation when I book?

Yes, after making the booking of our serviced apartment you will receive a confirmation from us with all the details about your booking.

Can I have an invoice for my stay?

You will be sent your invoice at the time of the booking but should you not receive it, please contact our team at info@amber-apartments.co.uk.

What is the check in and check out time?

Check in time starts at 4:00 p.m. and checkout is until 10 a.m. across all our properties.

What if I need to check in early or check out later than the standard times?

Both, early check in and late check out are possible for our serviced apartments subject to availability. If you would be interested in any of these service, please contact our team on +44 1217 900 234 or info@amber-apartments.co.uk.

When do I need to pay?

Reservations for service are billed at the point of booking and must be paid before check-in.

Can I pay in cash upon arrival?

No – unfortunately we don’t accept cash payments at any of our properties.

How far in advance can I make a booking?

It generally depends on the location requested but usually we accept bookings for our serviced accommodation for stays no more than 12 months in advance.

Do you offer corporate rates at Amber Serviced Apartments?

Yes, many of our returning business clients have rate agreements in place. We are happy to discuss rates and availability for both, short and long term corporate stays. To get more information please contact our team at info@amber-apartments.co.uk.

Is it possible to view an apartment before I book?

If you are planning on staying with us long-term, a viewing can be arranged depending on occupancy of the apartment at the time. Please contact our team on +44 1217 900 234 or info@amber-apartments.co.uk to discuss a convenient time.

If I cancel, can I get a refund?

In the event of cancellation, notice of cancellation is required at least 14 days prior to arrival in order to avoid a cancellation charge. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

Is there a minimum number of nights I need to book?

We require a minimum stay of 2 nights.

Can I extend my stay at your serviced accommodation?

Extending your stay is possible subject to availability. If you need to extend your stay, please contact our team on +44 1217 900 234 or info@amber-apartments.co.uk. If the apartament is unavailable, Amber Serviced Apartments team will make every effort to offer you an alternative.

How and where I can collect the keys?

All our serviced apartments are self check in. 1 day prior your arrival you will be emailed self check in instructions with the details how to enter the apartment. The email will contain a short video that shows how to operate a key code lock. Therefore, it’s important that you check the email and watch the video.

How does a key code lock work?

Using the code: enter the five-digit code followed by # on the keypad on the door, for example 12345#. If you enter the wrong code, press the # key again before re-entering your code. When you have entered your code, you will hear the lock click open. Turn the hundle and push the door open. It may be necessary to push forcefully.

How do I connect to the WiFi Internet?

You will find instructions on how to connect to our complimentary WiFi on the „Welcome Note” sheet found in your apartment.

Can I smoke in the apartment?

All our apartments are strictly non smoking. Smoking is allowed at a designated smoking area outside the building.

What can I expect in my apartment?

Our serviced apartments provide everything to make your stay feel like a home from home. From cutlery to toiletries, bed linen and towels. Along with free unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi and free car parking.

Is there any security in the apartment?

For your safety, we have installed camera security outsider the building of most of our apartments, covering the front access and parking.
In case of any life threatening emergency, always contact the police, fire brigade or ambulance on 112.

What kitchen equipment will I find in my serviced apartment?

All our serviced apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, including:

  • A cooking appliance such as an oven, microwave, fixed hob or portable hot plate
  • A fridge
  • Glassware
  • Crockery
  • Cutlery
  • Cooking utensils
  • Pots and pans
  • Washing up facilities

Does Amber Serviced Apartments have minimum age requirements?

Bookings can only be made if you are 18 years or older.

What about privacy in the Amber Serviced Apartments units?

Our serviced apartments give you peace of mind while functioning like a home. When you are travelling with family you have the space to socialise together and space to retreat to individually. They allow for more privacy and indenpendency in your own surrounding and the comfort to do exactly the same things you would do at home. You can prepare your own meals in our fully equipped kitchen, finish up your work, and then kick back on the comfy sofa and watch Netflix in the living room.

Can you provide baby cots and high chairs?

Cots and high chairs are available free of charge, but subject to availability. Please enquire early to avoid disappointment.
